Quick Answer: Best Sunday Teams in HSR 2026
The best Sunday teams in HSR are usually summon, memosprite, or hypercarry teams where one main DPS receives most of Sunday’s buffs. In 2026, his strongest practical teams include Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo, Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo, Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Aventurine, and budget setups like Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Lynx / Gallagher.
Best Sunday team formula:
- Main Carry: Jing Yuan, Aglaea, Argenti, Jingliu, Imbibitor Lunae, or another CRIT-focused hypercarry.
- Sunday: Action advance, CRIT support, Energy help, and summon / memosprite synergy.
- Second Support: Robin, Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Pela, or Asta depending on account and SP economy.
- Sustain: Huohuo, Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Luocha, Gallagher, Lynx, or Natasha.
From a planning perspective, Sunday is not just a generic Harmony support. He becomes much more valuable when your team is built around one carry taking more meaningful turns.
Build assumption: This guide assumes Sunday is mainly used at E0/E0S0 or E0S1. Whale setups, high-Eidolon carries, and zero-cycle Memory of Chaos teams may use different Speed targets and support choices.

✨ What Makes Sunday Teams Strong?
Sunday teams are strong because he compresses several premium support functions into one slot: action advance, CRIT support, Energy utility, cleanse, and extra value for characters with summons or summon-like damage patterns.
In my experience, Sunday feels best when the team has one obvious carry. If every ally wants equal field time and equal buffs, Sunday becomes less efficient. If one carry deserves almost every buff, Sunday starts to feel like a real account-defining support.
Core idea: Sunday is a carry-focused Harmony support. The more your team depends on one main DPS, the more valuable his Skill and Ultimate become.
If you are still learning how Paths, Elements, and team roles work, this HSR Paths and Elements guide is a useful starting point before building around Sunday.
| Sunday Strength | Why It Matters | Best Team Type |
|---|---|---|
| 100% action advance on Skill | Lets the chosen carry act immediately | Hypercarry, summon, and memosprite teams |
| Summon synergy | Extra value when the target has a summon or summon-style damage source | Jing Yuan and Aglaea-style teams |
| CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG support | Makes CRIT carries easier to build and more consistent | Jing Yuan, Aglaea, Argenti, Jingliu |
| Energy support | Helps Ultimate-reliant carries reach important burst windows | Argenti, Jing Yuan, some hypercarries |
| Cleanse on Skill | Prevents the advanced carry from losing a turn to crowd control | MoC / AS comfort clears |
Important: Sunday is not automatically best for every archetype. DoT teams, Break teams, and dual-DPS teams may prefer different supports depending on enemy weakness, SP needs, and the current endgame cycle.

🧩 Sunday Team Formula
The best Sunday teams should not be built as random “four strong characters.” Start with a real role structure, then choose replacements based on what your account owns.
🔹 Best Core Setup
| Slot | Best Role | Concrete Examples | What This Slot Does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slot 1 | Main Carry | Jing Yuan, Aglaea, Argenti, Jingliu, Imbibitor Lunae | Receives Sunday’s Skill and Ultimate most often. |
| Slot 2 | Sunday | Sunday | Action advance, CRIT support, Energy utility, summon support. |
| Slot 3 | Second Support | Robin, Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Pela, Asta | Adds team damage, Energy, DEF shred, Speed, or SP help. |
| Slot 4 | Sustain | Huohuo, Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Luocha, Gallagher, Lynx | Keeps the team alive while supporting rotation stability. |
🔹 Who Should Use Sunday?
Use Sunday if your account has:
- Jing Yuan or another summon carry.
- Aglaea or a Remembrance / memosprite-style carry.
- A CRIT hypercarry that wants more turns.
- An Ultimate-focused DPS that benefits from Energy support.
- Enough sustain and SP control to support repeated Skill usage.
For broader account planning, compare these setups with the best team compositions guide before locking Sunday into your first or second endgame side.
Avoid forcing Sunday into teams where damage is evenly split across multiple characters. His kit is more efficient when one carry receives most of the buffs.

🏆 Best Sunday Teams in HSR 2026
This is the most important part of the guide. Players searching for sunday teams hsr usually want direct team examples, not just “carry + support + sustain.” The teams below are written as practical comps with rotation notes and replacements.
Testing note: For most E0 Sunday accounts, the -1 Speed setup is easier to pilot than hyperspeed Sunday because it lets the carry act first, then receive Sunday’s action advance immediately after.
⚡ 1. Best Jing Yuan Sunday Team
| Role | Best Team | Why This Character Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Jing Yuan | Summon-style damage makes Sunday’s action advance and buff duration extremely valuable. |
| Core Support | Sunday | Advances Jing Yuan, buffs CRIT value, supports Energy, and improves Lightning-Lord damage windows. |
| Second Support | Robin | Massive team damage amplification and strong synergy with frequent attacks. |
| Sustain | Huohuo / Aventurine | Huohuo improves Energy flow; Aventurine gives safer clears and strong shielding. |
Best Team: Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo
Safer Variant: Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Aventurine
Why It Works: This is one of Sunday’s most natural teams. Jing Yuan wants better turn control, better CRIT consistency, and stronger summon damage windows. Sunday solves multiple problems at once, while Robin raises the team’s overall damage ceiling.
Rotation Tip: Let Jing Yuan act first when possible, then use Sunday’s Skill to advance him again. Use Sunday’s Ultimate on Jing Yuan before major burst windows so Jing Yuan and Lightning-Lord benefit from the CRIT DMG and Energy support.
Replacement Options:
- No Robin? Use Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Pela, or Asta.
- No Huohuo? Use Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Luocha, Lynx, or Gallagher.
- Need more Energy? Tingyun + Huohuo gives a very comfortable Ultimate cycle.
- Need more safety? Aventurine or Fu Xuan is usually easier than chasing more damage.
In my experience: Jing Yuan teams feel much smoother when you prioritize rotation stability over screenshot damage. If Lightning-Lord consistently lands inside buff windows, the team feels much better in real endgame fights.

🆓 2. Budget Jing Yuan Sunday Team
| Role | Budget Team | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Jing Yuan | Main damage source and Sunday’s priority target. |
| Core Support | Sunday | Action advance, CRIT support, and summon synergy. |
| Second Support | Tingyun | Energy and ATK support for Jing Yuan. |
| Sustain | Lynx / Gallagher | Low-investment survival options. |
Best Budget Team: Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Lynx
Alternative Budget Team: Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Gallagher
Why It Works: This team keeps the same basic Jing Yuan + Sunday idea but replaces premium supports with accessible options. Tingyun helps Jing Yuan’s Ultimate uptime, while Lynx or Gallagher keeps the team alive without demanding a limited sustain.
Rotation Tip: Use Tingyun’s buff on Jing Yuan, then keep Sunday’s Skill focused on Jing Yuan. Do not waste Sunday’s Skill on Tingyun unless you are fixing a specific emergency turn order issue.
Replacement Options:
- No Tingyun? Use Pela for DEF shred or Asta for Speed support.
- No Lynx? Use Gallagher or Natasha.
- Have Aventurine? Replace Lynx / Gallagher for much safer MoC and AS clears.
- Have Robin later? Replace Tingyun when you want a higher ceiling.
Budget warning: This team can clear comfortably, but relic quality matters. If Jing Yuan’s CRIT stats are weak, Sunday cannot fully carry the damage alone.
🌙 3. Aglaea / Remembrance Sunday Team
| Role | Best Team | Why This Character Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Aglaea | Remembrance carry with strong synergy around extra action value and summon-style mechanics. |
| Core Support | Sunday | Improves carry tempo, CRIT value, and burst windows. |
| Second Support | Robin | High teamwide damage amplification and strong premium support value. |
| Sustain | Huohuo | Energy support and healing make the rotation more comfortable. |
Best Team: Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo
Safer Variant: Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Aventurine
Why It Works: Aglaea-style Remembrance teams are one of the main reasons Sunday remains valuable in 2026. Sunday’s action advance and buff profile fit carries that want stronger tempo control and more meaningful turns.
If you are building Aglaea specifically, pair this page with the Aglaea HSR build guide so your relics, Light Cone, and team plan all match the same playstyle.
Rotation Tip: Keep Sunday’s Skill and Ultimate focused on Aglaea unless the fight forces a defensive adjustment. If using Huohuo, try to align Energy support so Aglaea’s major damage window does not desync from Sunday’s buffs.
Replacement Options:
- No Robin? Use Ruan Mei, Tingyun, Pela, or Asta depending on your account.
- No Huohuo? Use Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Luocha, Lynx, or Gallagher.
- Need more consistency? Use a safer sustain instead of chasing maximum damage.
- Need F2P support? Pela is usually the easiest low-investment replacement.
Planning note: Sunday’s long-term value rises when more summon, memosprite, or single-carry DPS units are released. That is why he can remain relevant even after his original banner cycle.

💥 4. Argenti Energy Hypercarry Team
| Role | Best Team | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Argenti | Ultimate-focused hypercarry who appreciates Energy support and extra turns. |
| Core Support | Sunday | Action advance, CRIT support, and Energy utility. |
| Second Support | Tingyun | More Energy and ATK support for faster Ultimate cycles. |
| Sustain | Huohuo | Healing plus additional Energy support. |
Best Energy Team: Argenti + Sunday + Tingyun + Huohuo
Budget Variant: Argenti + Sunday + Pela + Lynx
Why It Works: Argenti is a good example of a non-summon hypercarry who can still benefit from Sunday. The point is not summon synergy here; the point is more turns, more CRIT value, and better Ultimate uptime.
Rotation Tip: Use Sunday’s Ultimate on Argenti when he is close to an important Ultimate window. Avoid using too many support Skills in the same rotation if your Argenti needs Skill Points to maintain damage.
Replacement Options:
- No Tingyun? Use Pela for DEF shred or Sparkle if your SP economy needs help.
- No Huohuo? Use Luocha, Fu Xuan, Lynx, Gallagher, or Natasha.
- Need Pure Fiction value? This team can be adjusted for AoE-heavy waves, but enemy layout matters.
Player note: Sunday is not only for Jing Yuan. He also works with traditional hypercarries when the carry’s damage window is important enough to justify focused support.
🛡️ 5. Safe Clear Sunday Team
| Role | Safe Team | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Jing Yuan / Aglaea / Jingliu / Argenti | Main damage source depending on enemy weakness. |
| Core Support | Sunday | Action advance and carry buffs. |
| Utility Support | Pela | DEF shred, low SP demand, simple rotation. |
| Sustain | Aventurine / Fu Xuan | High comfort for MoC and Apocalyptic Shadow. |
Safe Clear Team: Main Carry + Sunday + Pela + Aventurine
Alternative Safe Team: Main Carry + Sunday + Pela + Fu Xuan
Why It Works: This team gives up some premium damage ceiling for stability. Pela is SP-friendly, Aventurine and Fu Xuan make the team harder to punish, and Sunday keeps the carry’s turn flow strong.
For endgame-specific planning, you can compare this structure with the best teams for Memory of Chaos when deciding whether Sunday should go on Side 1 or Side 2.
Rotation Tip: Keep Pela’s debuff active before the carry’s major damage turns. Use Sunday’s Skill after the carry acts if you are running the -1 Speed setup.
Replacement Options:
- No Pela? Use Tingyun, Asta, Ruan Mei, or Sparkle depending on your carry.
- No Aventurine? Use Fu Xuan, Luocha, Huohuo, Lynx, or Gallagher.
- Need more damage? Replace Pela with Robin or Ruan Mei if your SP economy allows it.
- Need more comfort? Keep Pela and use a premium sustain instead of forcing another buffer.

🆓 Best F2P Sunday Teams
A true F2P Sunday team usually means you own Sunday but want the rest of the team to use accessible characters, standard options, or low-investment supports.
For a wider low-investment framework, compare these teams with the best F2P teams in Honkai Star Rail.
✅ Best F2P Sunday Team Examples
| Team | Comp | Best For | Main Weakness |
|---|---|---|---|
| F2P Jing Yuan Team | Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Lynx | Low-spender summon carry setup | Needs decent Jing Yuan relics |
| F2P Jing Yuan Alt | Jing Yuan + Sunday + Pela + Gallagher | DEF shred and budget sustain | Less Energy support than Tingyun |
| F2P Hypercarry Team | Argenti + Sunday + Tingyun + Natasha | Ultimate-focused progression | Lower sustain ceiling |
| F2P Safe Team | Main Carry + Sunday + Pela + Lynx | Comfort clears and simple rotation | Lower damage ceiling |
| F2P Speed Team | Main Carry + Sunday + Asta + Gallagher | Early and mid-game Speed support | Less useful if the carry already has enough Speed |
🧩 F2P Replacement Priority
| Missing Character | Use Instead | What You Lose | What You Keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Robin | Tingyun / Pela / Asta | Premium teamwide damage | Energy, DEF shred, or Speed utility |
| Huohuo | Lynx / Gallagher / Natasha | Energy support and premium healing | Basic survival |
| Aventurine | Fu Xuan / Lynx / Gallagher | Premium shielding and comfort | Sustain coverage |
| Ruan Mei | Pela / Asta | Premium universal damage support | Low-cost utility |
| Sparkle | Tingyun / Asta | SP and CRIT comfort | Energy or Speed support |
F2P planning rule: Pull Sunday if he improves your main team immediately. Do not pull him only because he is strong in theory. A premium support without the right carry can feel underwhelming.
❌ F2P Mistakes to Avoid
- Using Sunday on the wrong target: His Skill should usually go to the main carry.
- Ignoring Speed order: Bad Speed tuning can ruin his value.
- Overbuilding supports first: Your main carry still needs good relics.
- Forgetting SP economy: Sunday teams still fail if every character wants Skill every turn.

⚙️ Sunday Speed Tuning & Rotation Tips
Speed tuning is one of the biggest differences between a Sunday team that feels smooth and a Sunday team that feels awkward. You can have the right characters but still lose value if Sunday acts at the wrong time.
For exact Speed thresholds, use this HSR Speed breakpoints guide while tuning Sunday and your carry.
🔹 Option 1: -1 Speed Sunday
How it works: Your carry acts first, then Sunday acts shortly after and advances the carry again.
| Setup | Goal | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Carry slightly faster than Sunday | Carry acts, then Sunday advances the carry | Jing Yuan, Aglaea, Argenti, Jingliu |
| Sunday built just behind the carry | Stable and predictable turn order | Most E0 Sunday accounts |
| Energy Regen Rope | Better Ultimate uptime | Most Sunday builds |
Testing note: For most E0/E0S0 and E0S1 Sunday accounts, -1 Speed Sunday is the easiest setup to recommend because the carry gets a natural turn first, then Sunday immediately creates another damage opportunity.
🔹 Option 2: Hyperspeed Sunday
How it works: Sunday is built very fast and acts before the carry, helping drag the carry forward while allowing the carry to run more damage stats.
| Setup | Goal | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Very fast Sunday | Move the carry forward more often | High-investment accounts |
| Carry with lower Speed | Shift Speed burden to Sunday | Damage-optimized hypercarry builds |
| Careful SP planning | Avoid rotation collapse | Advanced players |
My recommendation: Start with -1 Speed Sunday first. Hyperspeed Sunday can be strong, but it is easier to misbuild and usually needs better relic quality.
🔁 Sunday Rotation Checklist
- Is your main carry acting before Sunday in a -1 Speed setup?
- Is Sunday’s Skill going to the carry every main rotation?
- Is Sunday’s Ultimate aligned with the carry’s major damage window?
- Does the team still have enough Skill Points after two rotations?
- Is your sustain keeping the team alive without stealing too many Skill Points?

💡 Best Light Cones for Sunday Teams
Sunday’s Light Cone choice affects his rotation comfort, Energy flow, and Skill Point economy. His signature is strong, but not every account needs it immediately.
For a broader comparison of Harmony and general Light Cone value, check the Honkai Star Rail Light Cones guide.
| Light Cone | Type | Best For | Team Impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| A Grounded Ascent | Signature / Limited | Best Sunday rotations | Improves Energy flow, damage buffing, and SP comfort. |
| But the Battle Isn’t Over | Standard 5-star | Players without signature | Useful Energy and SP value, but less specialized. |
| Past and Future | Accessible 4-star | Budget action-advance setups | Works well when the turn order is clean. |
| Dance! Dance! Dance! | 4-star utility | Team action manipulation | Useful in some rotations, but not always consistent. |
| Planetary Rendezvous | 4-star specialist | Same-element teams | Only valuable when the carry can use the matching element buff. |
Pull value note: If Sunday is one of your most-used supports, his signature Light Cone becomes more valuable. If Sunday is only a backup support, save your pulls unless the Light Cone banner also has strong value for your account.
Light Cone Priority by Player Type
| Player Type | Recommended Choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| F2P | Use available 4-star or standard options | Characters usually matter more than signature Light Cones. |
| Low spender | Consider signature only if Sunday is core | Good comfort upgrade, but not mandatory for every account. |
| Jing Yuan / Aglaea main | Signature has higher value | Sunday is likely a long-term team piece. |
| Optimizer | Signature preferred | Better rotation consistency and higher ceiling. |

🎯 Pull or Save: Is Sunday Worth It?
Sunday is worth pulling if your account can actually use his strengths. He is a high-value support for Jing Yuan, Aglaea-style Remembrance teams, summon comps, and traditional hypercarry setups, but he is not automatically the best pull for every player.
If you are planning pity and Stellar Jade carefully, use your HSR Pull Tracker guide before committing to Sunday or his signature Light Cone.
| Account Situation | Pull or Save? | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| You main Jing Yuan | Pull | Sunday is one of the strongest supports for his summon-style damage pattern. |
| You main Aglaea or Remembrance carries | Pull | Sunday’s tempo control and carry-focused buffs are highly valuable. |
| You love hypercarry teams | Pull | He gives strong action advance, CRIT support, and Energy utility. |
| You already own several premium Harmony supports | Depends | Pull if Sunday solves a specific team need, not just because he is popular. |
| You lack strong DPS characters | Save / Think carefully | A support is less valuable if you do not have a carry to receive the buffs. |
| You are F2P and low on pulls | Depends | Pull only if Sunday improves your main team immediately. |
| You mainly play DoT or Break teams | Usually save | Those archetypes may prefer more specialized supports. |
| You want A Grounded Ascent | Only if Sunday is core | The signature improves comfort, but characters usually matter more first. |
Final pull rule: Pull Sunday for Jing Yuan, Aglaea, summon teams, and long-term hypercarry flexibility. Save if your account lacks a carry that can fully use him.
My Pull Priority Recommendation
- New players: prioritize a strong DPS and sustain first.
- Mid-game players: pull Sunday if he upgrades your main team immediately.
- Endgame players: pull Sunday if you want a stronger summon, Remembrance, or hypercarry side.
- F2P players: avoid pulling his Light Cone unless Sunday is one of your most-used supports.

❓ FAQ: Sunday Teams HSR
What is the best Sunday team in HSR?
The best Sunday team is usually Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo or Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo. If you need more safety, replace Huohuo with Aventurine or Fu Xuan.
Is Sunday good with Jing Yuan?
Yes. Sunday is one of the best supports for Jing Yuan because he improves turn control, CRIT value, Energy flow, and summon damage windows. Jing Yuan + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo is one of the strongest Sunday team templates.
Is Sunday good with Aglaea?
Yes. Sunday is very strong with Aglaea-style Remembrance teams because his action advance and carry-focused buffs work well with summon or memosprite gameplay. Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo is a strong premium setup.
What is the best F2P Sunday team?
A practical F2P Sunday team is Jing Yuan + Sunday + Tingyun + Lynx. If you do not own Jing Yuan, use your best built CRIT carry with Sunday, Pela or Tingyun, and a budget sustain like Lynx or Gallagher.
Does Sunday need his signature Light Cone?
No. Sunday can work without A Grounded Ascent, but his signature Light Cone improves Energy flow, damage buffing, and Skill Point comfort. It is most worth pulling if Sunday is a core support on your account.
Should Sunday be faster or slower than the DPS?
For most players, Sunday should be slightly slower than the DPS in a -1 Speed setup. This lets the carry act first, then Sunday advances the carry immediately after. Hyperspeed Sunday is more advanced and needs better relic quality.
Is Sunday better than Bronya or Sparkle?
It depends on the team. Sunday is often better for summon, Remembrance, and certain hypercarry teams. Bronya and Sparkle can still be useful when their SP pattern, CRIT support, or action manipulation fits the carry better.
Should F2P players pull Sunday?
F2P players should pull Sunday if they already have a carry that benefits from him, especially Jing Yuan, Aglaea, or a strong CRIT hypercarry. If your account lacks DPS or sustain, saving may be smarter.
